Mentor & Mingle
The first Mentor and Mingle activity was held in January. This is a monthly planned time for the Mentors and Mentees to come together and participate in activities as a group. To honor National Mentoring Month, both Mentors and Mentees were able to decorate picture frames and showcase a picture of themselves. Stay tuned for other activites, some will be open to the public.
What a busy couple of weeks!! The saying is true that time flies when you are having fun! I have had the opportunity to welcome two new Mentees into the program, hopefully we can find the perfect match for them. I also met two Mentors and have talked about the mentoring opportunity to several more. I am excited to witness the first match!
Thank you to everyone who made the Warm Hearts and Hotdishes event such a success!! It was an evening full of fun, food, and fundraising. Thank you to the judges for the hard work of sampling and carefully ranking each and every entry. Eighteen hotdishes of all different varieties were in the running for bragging rights. Andrea Dosdall took home the Best Hotdish in Stevens County with a Buffalo Chicken Tater Tot hotdish and Sharon Martin won People's Choice with Veggie Tater Tot. Thanks to the band who entertained the crowd as they sampled hotdishes, enjoyed jello salad, pickles, and ice cream sundaes for desert. Thank you to all who contributed to the friendly completion of silent auction items and of course to those that were lucky enough to bring one home. Thank you for supporting RUSC Kinship Mentoring!
