We are still monitoring progress on construction of our Community Patio which should be done in the coming week! This week we received a generous $4,500.00 contribution from the City of Morris to support the construction of this project. We are so grateful to live and work in a community that believes in investing in our community and especially the kids in our community. Thank you!
This week we are wrapping up the details for two events that are coming up next week....
On Thursday, Sept. 21st from 6:30 to 8pm there will be a FREE public screening of the documentary "Resilience". This is a film created to shed light on the health effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences, and the hope that is being found when communities come together to address this health crisis. We hope you will join us for this event at the Morris Area Concert Hall.
On Friday, Sept. 22nd from 4 to 6pm we will be hosting our 3rd Annual Fall Family festival at East Side Park. This is a free community event. We will be serving fresh apple slices donated by SCMC, with warm caramel dipping sauce, fresh baked gingersnap cookies, warm apple cider, and hot cocoa from 4 to 6pm. We will have bingo, pumpkin bowling, ring toss, pumpkin putt, bobbing for donuts, Memory, duck pond and tic tac toe!Stop by East Side Park for an evening fall fun for the whole family....and bring a friend!
Gearing up for the coming months, we are preparing for Give to the Max Day (the largest online giving day in MN)! Mark your calendar.
We are still seeking youth enrollments! We currently have a male (from Chokio) and female mentor anxiously waiting to be matched with a young person! This week we sent home information with all of the students at C-A School, Hancock, and St. Mary's. Those forms can be returned to the school office or to the RUSC Kinship Mentoring office. Enrollment forms can also be accessed on our website.
Until Next Week,
