- As you may recall, back in September we announced that we were granted $25,000 from the Otto Bremer Trust. A portion of that grant was what we refer to as "matching funds" in the non-profit world. Which means that we must raise $10,000 from local support in order to receive the $10,000 of the $25,000 that was granted to us. So, as you can imagine we are fundraising like crazy right now. In the spirit of giving and the holiday we are continuing to promote our engraved bricks, but now as a "giving" item or a way to remember a loved one during the holiday season. We will have displays with this information at each of the banks in the Morris Area through the next couple of months so, we would like to encourage you to check it out. Our goal is to place an order of bricks early in 2017 so, that we can begin construction next spring.
- We are also excited that we are going to be in the Parade of Lights for the first time this year which will be another time for us to promote the program and share about our brick sales.
- In addition, to continuing that fundraising campaign, November is Give to the Max Day which is an online giving day that gives non-profit organizations an opportunity to win some extra cash. Check out some more information about it below.
- In addition to fundraising, we are still seeking new mentors and families interested in enrolling. We have a young man waiting for a mentor and currently have NO male mentors. We also have females waiting to matched with a young person so, we have some work ahead of us in recruitment! If you know anyone interested in enrolling please encourage them to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 320-585-7872.
Until Next Week,
