- On Monday we trained a new mentor! We currently have 4 women who are waiting to be matched with mentees. Please help us spread the word, we are ALWAYS accepting new youth enrollments and mentor applications. It truly takes a pool of both to make quality matches that last. This week we have been scheduling meetings with local organizations who also serve families with children to discuss how we can support families and make sure they are aware of RUSC Kinship Mentoring as a resource in Stevens County. Families can enroll at our website www.rusckinship.org, by contacting our office at 320-585-RUSC or asking their school for a RUSC Kinship Mentoring brochure.
- This week was Give to the Max Day! We had $710 in online donations on the day of Give to the Max, but we also had more than $8000 in donations this month that help us reach our donor challenge of $10,000 so that we can receive those matching funds from the Otto Bremer Trust. Thank you to all of those who have helped us in this challenge!
- We also participated in the Parade of Lights in Morris for the first time this year! We had 4 mentoring matches join us and additional 5 board members come out to represent RUSC Kinship Mentoring. We had a lot of fun promoting mentoring as a git to the young people in our community and sharing information about our community brick project.
- This weekend we will be joining Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus for Mission Fest. We are excited to be their guest speaker on Sunday morning, but we are even more excited about the partnership that we are building with them.
Until Next Week,
