This week we have also had two little girls who for various reasons surrounding family situations will no longer be able to participate in our program. Hearing about the hardships that some of the young people in our community face are not only heartbreaking, but incredibly humbling and puts into perspective the need of the work that we all do through RUSC Kinship Mentoring. We are so thankful for the mentors who commit themselves to support young people.
The heartbreaking stories we hear are the motivation we need to continue working hard to build relationships in our community, raise funds, and seek the resources necessary to support our work and make sure mentoring opportunities are available to the kids in our community. Here are some of the events and projects we are working on through which the community can support our work too:
