This week we had our monthly board meeting on Monday night and discussed our upcoming Grow Kids & Kinship Garden Gala on June 9th at the WCROC in Morris beginning at 5:30pm. We are seeking and will continue accepting creative "garden themed" silent auction items until June 1st. If you have an idea or a donation, please contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org or a RUSC Kinship board member.
On Wednesday, we had the privileged of sharing some information about our program with the Seniors at Faith Lutheran church over their spring luncheon and we also were able to meet some new folks at the Chamber of Commerce Spring social on Wednesday evening at the Stevens County Historical Museum. Also, through the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, we had the opportunity to have breakfast with MN State Representative Jeff Backer and share our community's impressive movement to make the young people in our community a priority and discuss how we can work together to ensure that this is a priority in our government.
We are continuing to grow each day with new mentors and mentees. This week we met with a mentoring couple and had the opportunity to share the mentor experience with a few others who are considering making the commitment to become a mentor.
This week we were blessed Riverview Dairy's generosity to support us as we continue to grow. We are excited to celebrate Riverview, LLP as a Sponsor of the RUSC Kinship Mentoring program this year. We look forward to building a relationship with them and more businesses like them in our community.
Early next week we will be gathering with others from Kinship affiliates in Brainerd, MN for our National Annual Conference so, our office will be closed Monday, Aprill 11th through April 12th.
Be sure to stop by the Celebrating our Non-Profit Resources Expo on Monday, April 11th. RUSC Kinship Mentoring board members will be there to share information about the program!
Until Next Week,
